Consideration for others.

Hey Gang, again for the gangs still watching this blog. I know I haven't updated much but I'm very busy getting my demo reel together so I can get a job in the industry I love. But I don't have anything right now to show off, but soon I will. So right now I give you a couple of my classmates sites to check out and see what they're doing.

They are modelers as well. Enjoy

Trying to find inspiration

I just wanted to share with you, one of the latest inspirations a few of my friends had mentioned here in Vancouver. This is from a music prodigy/producer who helped form artists like Cassie and wrote and produced for many other artists...His name is Ryan Leslie - One of the greatest composers and songwriters. His album comes out in two months or so - and I highly recommend it. So here's a clip of him at DJ Green Lantern's Sirius satellite radio show - remixing to Lil Wayne's - Lollipop. Enjoy - as I need this playing for inspiration for my art.

Are you ready??

Well it's been a long time...Anybody still out there? Well I hope some of you are out there still.

It's been a very hectic 2 terms, and 4 months of very intense learning and homework. And now it's the first time in 4 months where I actually have a small break from it all. The school is great and it's amazing what I've learned. So I'm here to show off a little bit. I still need to organize some items to show the rest of it off but I should have most of the items for all you too see tomorrow.

First here is some Classical Animation from Term 1 and Term 2.

Enjoy.

That's all for now. I hope you enjoy. I'll be showing some more tomorrow so stay tuned...

Apology

Hey Everyone!

It's been quite a bit of time since I posted I know. It angers me a little that I haven't had the time to do it and post what I've been doing in the last few months but that trend will stop.

A quick recap:

I have moved to the lovely province of British Columbia about two months or so ago - With my beautiful girlfriend. I am attending Vancouver Film School in their 3D Animation and Visual Effects program aspiring to become a 3D Modeler. I am still drawing and have a comic in the works right now - Writing it is taking longer just to fine tune it. I have also become c0-class rep of my class. I'm such a geek. I have just recently finished Term 1 doing a mixture of classical and 3D. Term 2 starts tomorrow.

My computer is also retarded right now and so is my printer as well. I don't have the funds for anything so I can't scan anything in as my printer is no longer functional. That should change in a few days (Hopefully). I was going to take pictures with my camera, but I can't find the cable for it either. UGH! I will post my art as soon as the resources are available to me so I can show off my improved drawing ability. I always believed that as an artist don't ever be down about your art, don't bring yourself down about it, you are your own worst critic but you have to learn to know what works and what doesn't. Always think that your drawings are great, but always keep in mind that there will always be room for improvement.

I'm also having some server issues uploading my videos that I wanted to showcase to you guys. So as soon as I can I will post some classical animation and some pictures. I promise.
In the meantime check out also a few fellow artists and friends from back home who is aspiring to become the next big thing.

Well I think that's about it for now. I hope to be back soon. Till next time.

New Dawn!

Hello everyone!

I have currently been away for so long because I don't have internet right now, and it was a crazy busy show at the http://www.calgaryexpo.com this year. I met and talked to a lot of great people and I hope to talk and hear from some of you soon!

To let you know why I haven't updated is because I have moved further out west to the city of Vancouver as I will be attending school here at VFS (Vancouver Film School). I will be studying and honing my craft at 3D animation again and this time succeeding with flying colors. I am just using a friends internet resource right now - But will have internet later on in the week. Please feel free to drop me a line @ tephas@gmail.com if you have any requests. Once my internet is set up I will be posting everything that I took from the Calgary Expo show and showing off what I did for some of the people I sketched for. I didn't get them all but some.

Well see you all in a few days!

Frustration with drawing women...Not so frustrated anymore

Hey all.

I've still been under the weather and I'm still hitting a very low point during these days or weeks of recovery. But I did get some drawing done over the weekend. I did some marker work in which I haven't done or used in quite a bit of time. I hope to show the step by step of one of my prints I'm doing for the show sometime later this week. For now please enjoy what's in front of you.

I tried to clean it up as best as I could for now, as the scan didn't come out very well since I had it drawn in my sketchbook. I wish they made bigger scanners...

Thanks for watching,

~J~

Drumroll...Please?

WOW! I didn't realize until yesterday that I haven't updated in a couple of weeks, and I usually update every Wednesday since I attend the Drink and Draw's here in Calgary. I did not attend tonight though as I am a bit under the weather. But I have been busy drawing. I wanted to do a fan pic for Nick Johnson's and Andrew Foley's fantasmical webcomic called THE HOLIDAY MEN

Though I did one earlier later on this month I believe, I wanted to do a better one. So currently I have the characters the way I see them so I hope I did them justice. Sorry Nick if I didn't.

Here's Jack my favorite out of the team

Next is the whimsical Val

Here is Nick...(No not you Johnson)

...last but not least Bunny!

I hope you guys enjoy my take on these characters, and I apologize for the lack of posting.

Take care all.
